It all began in 2003 when Mikael and Richard were working together on a project management software called Planner. With a shared passion for development and GTK+, the idea of creating a company to be able to continue working together with the technologies they loved, the idea of Imendio was formed.

Early on the need for improving the toolkit and infrastructure became evident and the company's focus shifted towards these areas. Throughout the years some of the brightest and most experienced developers around our technologies of interest have been hired.

Today Imendio is the number one provider of development and support services around the GTK+ stack with clients such as Nokia and Pioneer both turning to Imendio for their GTK+ needs.
